This is a story before stories. The world is in making, and in its primordial soup monsters, beasts, gods and beings are slowly merging into human form.

Everything seems half-made and in flux, except for good and evil, which are fully formed. As the planet solidifies and continents and lands take shape, a small group of anthropomorphic beings choose different paths to build civilisation.

Like other stories, this story is about love and hate, friendship and betrayal, and life and death. It has a beginning, a middle and an end, but they overlap at times, like dreams. That’s it, it’s a dream, just one of the billions dreamed every night by each of us, to keep one pale light on in an endless and dark universe.

REVIEWS

‘Right from the very first line you feel immediately transported into a timeless, ageless and monstrous, imagery-rich, fast-paced universe that reminds you of Tolkien's world, with strange creatures, unpredictable twists and turns and a wealth of characters that come to the fore, each with their own meaning and function within a narration that breaks all the rules.’
